Give the trial one job

Connecting every channel on day one makes it difficult to see what helps. Start with a smaller question: can this service handle one familiar conversation and leave your team with a clear next step?

For example, a showroom might test appointment inquiries on its website. That is a proposed pilot, not a ConversionIQ customer case study. This guide uses public information checked on September 6, 2026; we have not tested a live account. Read our ConversionIQ introduction first if you are still comparing its purpose with other tools.

What the official setup guidance actually says

ConversionIQ describes connecting channels, adding business knowledge and activating the service. Its FAQ says Web-Chat uses a script and other supported channels have guided setup. The public overview does not establish every setting you will encounter, so the workflow below is our suggested evaluation plan, not a click-by-click dashboard tutorial. Official implementation FAQ

Choose a channel you control and can monitor. Ask the provider how to test without immediately enabling broad public automation. Write down who can change settings, who checks replies and who can pause the pilot. Keep that list short enough to use when someone is busy.

Prepare a small set of answers you trust

Collect the information a person would need to answer the chosen questions: service details, current prices where relevant, opening hours, appointment links and exceptions. Add a date and owner to each item so you know who will update it.

Do not start by uploading a large folder and assuming everything inside agrees. An old PDF might list a different cancellation policy from the current website. Resolve that disagreement first. For the initial exercise, use fictional customer details and business information approved for this purpose.

Editorial pilot plan — not ConversionIQ's interface or a measured customer result
  1. Choose: one channel and one repeatable inquiry.
  2. Prepare: approved answers and a human contact.
  3. Test: ordinary questions, exceptions and handoffs.
  4. Review: correct outcomes, team effort and usage.

Test the awkward conversations too

Ten carefully chosen questions can teach you more than a long conversation full of greetings. Include easy requests, missing details and questions the business cannot answer immediately. Agree the expected behavior before running them so you do not move the goalposts after seeing a response.

Editorial examples for a showroom appointment pilot
Test questionWhat to look forWhat to record
Can I visit this Saturday?Accurate hours and a valid booking routeAnswer and destination link
Can you promise a special discount? No invented offerWhether approval was requested
I need to change an existing bookingA suitable handoff without a false confirmationWhere the team receives the request
I do not understand that answerUseful clarification or a human contactExtra replies and remaining confusion

ConversionIQ describes configurable handoffs to people. Verify where those requests arrive and whether your actual team can respond. A message saying “someone will help” is not enough if nobody receives the task. Handoff FAQ

Watch the usage meter alongside the conversation

The pricing page defines AI Actions as units of work such as moderated comments or chat responses. A customer conversation can therefore use several Actions. It also describes overage spending limits and a 14-day trial without a credit card; verify the current offer and channel charges before starting. Pricing and usage details

For your pilot log, record the question, whether the outcome was correct, whether a person intervened and the usage shown. If a correct booking explanation takes six replies, investigate whether the source material or opening question could be clearer. A low subscription price means little if the workflow creates unnecessary exchanges.

Decide what happens after the pilot

Our suggested acceptance criteria are practical: answers match approved information, exception requests reach a responsible person, and the effort saved outweighs the time spent checking and correcting. Choose your own thresholds before testing; this guide does not prescribe a universal accuracy percentage.

Expand to a second channel only after the first workflow is understandable. If records need to reach a CRM, ask to see one complete test record rather than relying on an integration logo. For another language, repeat the questions with someone who understands local expressions and your business terms.

If the answers are sound but almost nobody visits your site, the next investment may be discovery rather than more automation. Our Ranked AI pricing guide helps you consider that separate budget. Give each service a clear job before adding another subscription.
