Gorgias vs Reamaze: pick Gorgias for Shopify order work and ticket-based billing, Reamaze for small teams with big volume
Short answer. If your agents handle Shopify orders all day (confirm, edit, refund) and you would rather pay by ticket volume than by headcount, start with Gorgias. If you run a small team with a high ticket count, or support stores beyond Shopify, Reamaze (officially Re:amaze) deserves a trial because it bills per user.
- Gorgias fits when most tickets are Shopify order questions, and your bill should not change when you add an agent.
- Reamaze fits when one to three agents answer a lot of tickets, or you want several brands in one account (listed on Pro and above).
Everything below was checked on official pages on November 2, 2026. The next step is simple: run last month's real tickets through the 7-day Gorgias free trial. For other head-to-heads, see Gorgias vs Zendesk and Gorgias vs Freshdesk; for the wider field, see Gorgias alternatives.
The core difference: Gorgias counts tickets, Reamaze counts people
This single difference decides most of the price gap. Gorgias bills on monthly ticket volume (a ticket is one customer conversation). Reamaze bills per user, with a separate flat-rate Starter plan.
On Gorgias's pricing page, the free trial is 7 days and no payment details are needed to start. The entry Starter plan is $10 a month, billed monthly only, and includes 50 tickets. For the higher plans, go by the figures shown on screen at checkout, and check the billing period and rate before you buy. More detail is in our Gorgias pricing guide.
Here is Reamaze's lineup from its official pricing page.
| Plan | Monthly (per user) | Billed annually (per user, per month) | What changes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $59 flat | Not listed | Unlimited users, up to 500 responded conversations a month, Basic features |
| Basic | $29 | $26 | Email inboxes, live chat, social channels, FAQ, macros, chatbots |
| Pro | $49 | $44 | Adds multiple brands, SMS and voice, advanced reporting |
| Plus | $69 | $62 | Adds departments, staff performance reports, satisfaction ratings, screen sharing |

How the bill grows: add agents or add tickets?
Count your agents and your monthly tickets, then see which one moves your bill. Treat the numbers below as illustrations, and confirm rates on the checkout screen.
One agent on Reamaze Basic is $29 a month billed monthly. Three agents is $87 on Basic or $147 on Pro. The Starter plan is the exception: $59 flat for any number of users, capped at 500 responded conversations a month. A four-person team with fewer than 500 conversations may find Starter the cheapest route.
Gorgias works the other way. Adding an agent does not change the price, but tickets beyond your plan's allowance cost extra. If volume is low, the $10 Starter is the cheapest entry point of the two.
| Factor | Gorgias | Reamaze |
|---|---|---|
| Billing unit | Monthly tickets | Per user (Starter is flat) |
| Entry price | Starter $10 a month, monthly billing only, 50 tickets | Basic $29 per user, or Starter $59 flat for 500 conversations |
| Adding an agent | Price unchanged | Cost rises per user (except Starter) |
| Adding tickets | Charges apply beyond the plan allowance | Starter capped at 500; no ticket tiers listed for Basic and up |
| Free trial | 7 days, no card | 14 days, Plus features included |

AI is metered differently as well. Gorgias charges per automated interaction. Reamaze includes AI Agent resolutions per user each month (5 on Basic, 10 on Pro, 20 on Plus), then lists $0.85 for each extra resolution. Estimate AI cost from the number of chats you want automated, not from the headline plan price.
Shopify: can agents finish an order change inside the ticket?
This is the practical test. Gorgias documents Shopify order history in the customer profile, plus creating, duplicating, editing (before shipment), refunding and cancelling orders, on its Shopify integration page. The walkthrough is in our Shopify order actions guide.
Reamaze lists "Re:amaze for Shopify" among its integrations on its official site, linking to the Shopify App Store. The site itself does not spell out what the integration can do, so we do not claim order-level actions for it. When you trial Reamaze, try the five tasks your team repeats most (cancel, refund, address change, resend, tracking reply) and see whether each one stays in the helpdesk.
If any of those sends an agent to the Shopify admin, multiply that detour by your daily ticket count.
What Reamaze offers beyond email and chat
Reamaze pulls many channels into one inbox. Its site lists email, AI live chat, social media, SMS, VoIP, video calls and push-notification conversations, plus iOS and Android apps. For automation it lists macros combined with AI, workflows triggered by incoming conversations, Cues (proactive messages to site visitors), chatbots and an AI Agent labelled Beta.
Plan gating matters here. SMS and voice, multiple brands and advanced reporting appear from Pro up, while departments and satisfaction ratings need Plus. A store that wants phone or SMS support on the cheapest plan should read the plan table first.
Which one to trial first
| Your situation | Trial first | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Mostly Shopify order questions; want refunds and edits in the ticket | Gorgias | Order creation, edits, refunds and cancellations are listed on its Shopify page |
| Team is growing but ticket volume is steady | Gorgias | Billed on tickets, not agents |
| One to three agents and a high ticket count | Reamaze | Per-user billing, so volume does not drive the plan price |
| Several brands or stores in one account | Reamaze | Multiple brands listed on Pro and above |
| SMS, voice and video calls in the same inbox | Reamaze | Listed as supported channels on its site |
| Want the lowest starting cost | Gorgias Starter or Reamaze Basic | $10 (50 tickets) versus $29 per user |
Trial both on the same tickets
You get 7 days with Gorgias and 14 with Reamaze, so prepare before you start. Write down four things:
- Last month's ticket count and the number of agents answering.
- How many of those tickets you want AI to handle.
- The Shopify order actions you perform daily (refund, cancel, address change, resend).
- The channels you need (email, chat, social, phone or SMS) and which plan unlocks each.
Run those tickets through the Gorgias trial first. If a per-user plan looks cheaper on paper, run the same tickets through Reamaze's 14-day trial. Because that trial includes Plus features, check that everything you used is also on the plan you would actually buy.
If most of your tickets are Shopify orders, begin with Gorgias and see what your own volume costs.

Count last month's tickets, pick the three Shopify actions you do every day, and handle them inside the 7-day Gorgias trial. If per-user pricing looks cheaper for your team, give Reamaze its 14-day trial with the same tickets and compare the cost and the clicks.
