Match the choice to a missing piece of product information
Start with Loox if visual presentation is the work you want to improve; include Judge.me if a lean collection setup is your priority. A visual product category alone does not establish which app will work best for your store.
Pick a question shoppers ask before buying. For clothing, that might be how the hem falls; for storage products, whether an item fits on a shelf. Then compare how easily someone can find a useful photo and read the accompanying comment on a phone. A polished gallery is only useful if it helps answer the question.

For a US business that needs footage showing a product in use, Reviewers.com is another route to evaluate. Write down what the footage needs to demonstrate before planning a campaign. Gifted-product content has a different origin from ordinary post-purchase feedback. Make that context clear to shoppers and preserve the reviewer's meaning when using their comments. We have not verified campaign-specific advertising terms or Japanese-language video availability. Confirm the intended channels and language if those are requirements for your project.
Walk through your workflow before committing
A focused check of your own workflow is more useful than comparing feature counts. The steps below are suggested checks, not tasks we performed in a test store.
- Choose a product and identify the missing information: written feedback, photos, or a demonstration.
- Open the official demos on a phone and check how easily you can find relevant comments and media.
- If you start a trial, test placement and readability in a theme where you can control the effect on the live store.
- Assign responsibility for review requests and responses, and check for overlap with existing customer emails.
- Confirm what changes as order volume grows, or budget for samples and shipping if you plan to seed products.
If you are migrating, check export and import support before removing the current app. A small sample can help you confirm that reviews still match the correct products and that images display as intended. Behaviour depends on your theme, your existing data and your sending configuration, so check those on your own store.
Questions to settle before signup
Can I collect photos on a free plan? Both Loox and Judge.me include free photo-review functionality. Continued eligibility and video support differ, so compare the work you need to do rather than the word “free.”
Does Reviewers.com replace Loox? Obtaining videos and displaying reviews are separate decisions. Loox is not mandatory for Reviewers.com, but you still need to decide how collected material will appear on your storefront.
Will an app guarantee positive reviews or more sales? This guide establishes neither outcome. Treat better access to useful product information as the initial goal, and measure the effect of changes in your own store rather than assuming an installation is a result.
