Illustration of three layers of Gorgias integrations: the store at the center, support channels around it, and add-on apps on the outside

Gorgias integrations fall into three groups: your store, your support channels, and the apps around them

If you run a Shopify store, think of Gorgias integrations in this order:

  1. Your store. Shopify puts order data next to every ticket and lets agents act on it.
  2. Your channels. Email, Instagram and Messenger, WhatsApp and phone are where customers reach you.
  3. Your other apps. Klaviyo, Recharge, shipping trackers, returns and reviews tools add context, and anything without a ready-made app can connect through an HTTP integration.

Start with Shopify, add the channel your customers already use, and only then add apps that save you from opening another dashboard. Connecting everything on day one just adds things to maintain.

This guide reflects Gorgias's integrations page, pricing page and help center articles on docs.gorgias.com, all checked on October 19, 2026. The help center shows relative update times such as "8 days ago," so the dates in this article are our check dates. For the Shopify connection walkthrough, see our Gorgias getting started guide, and for refunds and order edits, see Gorgias Shopify order actions. This page is the map of what connects to what.

The Shopify integration shows order data in the ticket and lets agents act on it

Once a store is connected, agents see order history, shipping details and purchase data beside each ticket, with no tab switching, according to the help center (Gorgias: connect Shopify, checked October 19, 2026).

What you get:

  • Fulfillment status and order notes in the ticket sidebar
  • Macro actions to duplicate, cancel, refund and edit orders
  • Matching customer profiles with order history, lifetime spend and tags
  • One-time discount codes sent from a ticket
  • Shopify metafields and revenue reporting based on Shopify order data

To connect, you need to be an owner or admin in Gorgias and a store owner or administrator in Shopify. It is available on all Helpdesk plans. After connecting, Gorgias imports customer profiles and order history in the background, and the time depends on store size. For several stores, repeat the steps per store, assign channels to each store, and filter views and rules by store.

One gotcha: customer notes sync both ways, but not for customers who have profiles in more than one Shopify store. A connected store is also required for AI Agent.

Email, social, WhatsApp and phone: the channel you can use depends on your plan

You don't need every channel. Pick the ones your customers already use.

Email: your plan decides whether you use a direct integration or forwarding

Email is the first channel almost every store connects, and it's where plans matter. The Gmail and Microsoft 365 integrations are for Basic and Pro. Advanced and Enterprise connect through forwarding. Whether the Starter plan supports the direct integrations isn't stated in the help center articles we checked, so ask during the demo.

Gorgias recommends forwarding if you send more than 500 emails a day or run into delivery problems. To send from your own domain, you verify it with SPF and DKIM records. If you also want a web form, see our Gorgias contact form guide.

Social: replies have time windows

One app covers Facebook, Messenger and Instagram: posts, comments, mentions, ad comments, Messenger messages and Instagram DMs all arrive in the helpdesk.

The help center spells out the reply windows. Human agents can answer Messenger and Instagram DM tickets only if the customer's last message was less than 7 days ago. AI Agent can reply only within 24 hours of the last message. Instagram history isn't imported, while 30 days of Facebook posts and comments can optionally be imported as closed tickets.

For WhatsApp, you create message templates in Meta's WhatsApp Manager and import them into Gorgias. The article doesn't list WhatsApp messaging costs, so confirm them before you rely on the channel.

Klaviyo and Recharge are the two Shopify app integrations most stores ask about first

Gorgias lists categories from AI and chat to loyalty, returns, reviews, shipping and subscriptions on its integrations page. The help center also has articles for AfterShip Tracking, Loop Returns, Judge.me, Okendo, Reviews.io, Mailchimp and Omnisend, among others (checked October 19, 2026). A simple rule for choosing: add an app if your team opens its dashboard during most support conversations.

Klaviyo sends support events back to your marketing data

With the Klaviyo integration, ticket opened, ticket resolved and satisfaction survey events sync to Klaviyo. Those events update the customer's Klaviyo profile, so you can build segments such as customers who opened a ticket. If no profile exists, one is created but not subscribed.

Setup starts in Gorgias: open Settings, find Klaviyo under All apps, connect and authorize it, enter your Gorgias helpdesk URL, and choose which options to turn on: SMS sync, Reviews sync and the customer profile widget. The widget only appears on Klaviyo Reviews or SMS tickets. By default, Klaviyo reviews of 3 stars or fewer create tickets. If you connect several Klaviyo accounts to one Gorgias account, every customer is pulled into every connected Klaviyo account, so Gorgias recommends managing them with segments. (Gorgias: Klaviyo 101, checked October 19, 2026)

Recharge puts subscriptions next to the ticket

If you sell subscriptions through Recharge, connecting it shows subscriptions in the ticket sidebar. The help center lists cancelling or reactivating a subscription, refunding a charge and skipping a charge, and Recharge data can be inserted into macros.

To connect, go to Settings, App Store, All Apps, open Recharge, click Connect App and choose the Shopify store. Two rules matter:

  • Cancel orders that went through Recharge with the Cancel button on the Recharge order, not on the Shopify order.
  • Refund a subscription order paid through Recharge in Recharge's merchant portal.

If agents use the regular Shopify order actions on these orders, the result may not be what they expect. (Gorgias: Recharge, checked October 19, 2026)

If there's no ready-made app, build an HTTP integration

When a tool isn't in the App Store, an HTTP integration connects Gorgias to that tool's public API. The help center says to check the App Store first and build an HTTP integration only if there's no app. It's available on all Helpdesk plans, and the account owner and admins can create and manage them. (Gorgias: HTTP Integrations, checked October 19, 2026)

The steps:

  1. Get the endpoint URL, HTTP method and authentication details from the other tool's API docs.
  2. In Settings, open HTTP integration and click Add HTTP integration.
  3. Enter a name, the URL and the method (GET, POST, PUT or DELETE).
  4. Add authentication, either header-based or OAuth2.
  5. Choose the triggers and save.

Triggers include ticket created, ticket updated and ticket message created. The data you fetch can be shown as a widget in the ticket sidebar.

Know the limits before you build on it. Each request times out after 5 seconds, and timeouts are retried only with OAuth2. Error responses such as 429 or 500 aren't retried, and the integration is disabled after 500 consecutive failures. You can troubleshoot in the integration's Events tab.

There is also an HTTP hook inside macros. An HTTP integration fires automatically on ticket events, which suits ongoing syncs. A macro's HTTP hook runs only when an agent applies the macro, which suits on-demand actions. Our Gorgias macros guide shows how macros are built.

Pricing depends on your plan and add-ons, not on how many integrations you connect

Nothing on the pricing page ties price to the number of integrations (checked October 19, 2026). What changes the bill is the plan and what you add:

  • Starter is $10 per month for Helpdesk only; AI costs extra.
  • Voice and SMS can be added to any plan.
  • AI Agent is charged per interaction and needs a connected Shopify store.

As noted above, the plan also decides which email integration you can use, so choose your channels first and then ask for a quote. Our Gorgias pricing guide explains tickets and AI costs in more detail.

Use the 7-day free trial to test three connections in order

The Gorgias trial lasts 7 days, includes all features and doesn't require a credit card (pricing page, checked October 19, 2026). With a week, keep the test list short:

  1. Day 1: Shopify. Connect the store and confirm a past order appears beside a ticket.
  2. Day 2: email. Connect it the way your plan allows and check that a test message gets a reply back in your inbox.
  3. Day 3 onward: one more channel. Choose Instagram, WhatsApp or phone, whichever your customers use, and check its reply window and conditions.

Try Klaviyo or Recharge only if you already use them. Add AI Agent after the basic inbox is stable; see our AI Agent setup guide. If you're weighing Gorgias against another helpdesk, our Gorgias vs Zendesk comparison covers the Shopify side.

FAQ

Does Gorgias work with platforms other than Shopify? The pricing page lists Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento and WooCommerce as supported platforms, and the help center has connection articles for BigCommerce and Magento 2. This guide focuses on Shopify.

How many integrations are there? The integrations page and the pricing page give different counts, so we don't quote one. What matters is whether the tools you use appear in the App Store or the help center.

Do I need a developer? Not for App Store apps, which you connect from the interface. An HTTP integration means reading another tool's API docs, so a developer helps.

Does deleting the Shopify app cancel my subscription? No. Cancel from Billing and usage in Gorgias. See our getting started guide.

Does Gorgias work in Japanese or other languages? Check the admin interface, the customer chat and the AI separately. Our Gorgias Japanese support guide walks through it.

Next step: list your channels and the dashboards you open during support, then start the trial

Write down two lists: where customers contact you (email, Instagram, phone) and which tools you open to answer them (shipping, subscriptions, reviews). Those two lists are your integration shortlist. Then start the Gorgias free trial or request a demo, and test Shopify, email and one more channel in that order.
